With her team, she has been supporting insurance companies for several years... and uses Foldio daily to manage her assignments. How has the software transformed their way of working?

Hey Evy, this is the largest meeting table I've ever seen. How many of you work here?

There are fifteen of us. But the table, in fact, is at the request of my dad who works as a judicial expert for the courts. He holds meetings with a lot of people, many lawyers. That's why we have this table.

 

We're here to talk about the collaboration you have with Foldio. We'll discuss that in a moment, but first, I'd like you to tell us a bit about the history of Claeys Expertise. What do you do? How long has it been around? I know you work with your brother. Tell me all about it in a few words.

The company was founded by our dad, who still works with us, in 1998. My brother and I joined a bit later. We are an expertise office, we work for insurance companies, after a loss.

 

We have ten people in the field as experts, and five collaborators who work in the office every day.

 

What does expertise look like in 2025? Has the profession changed a lot compared to ten or fifteen years ago?

I think it depends a bit on the field in which we are active. There is also, of course, the influence of Artificial Intelligence. People sometimes fear that AI will replace our work, but in my opinion, there is no need to be afraid of it.

 

There still needs to be field experience, knowledge of expertise to go on-site and assess the damages.

 

So, this collaboration with Foldio... A little birdie told me that you have grown a bit together, Foldio and you. At least the second generation.

That's right. As I was saying, our dad started and he always worked alone with one collaborator. My brother and I joined him and I think we started working with Foldio in March 2018.

 

We thought we wanted to grow a bit and continuing to use only Excel and Word was no longer compatible with the reality of the profession. We looked at several other programs, but they were mostly designed for lawyers, etc. We couldn't find a solution designed for experts. And that's when we discovered Foldio. We started using it, and I think we were among the first to work with them too.

 

Since then, we have always been positive. There are sometimes little things we ask for, but they are taken into account, and we see that more and more expertise offices are starting to work with Foldio. That makes us happy.

 

So that means at the beginning, since you grew a bit together, you challenged them on two or three little things. And still now?

Yes, still now. We still send emails to Antoine. We are very happy, but it's true that in practice, there are times when we think: "Hey, this, we could maybe improve." And we really feel that when it's small things, they try to include that in the next update.

 

When it's really a big change, sometimes it takes a bit longer, which is logical because the program needs to be adapted.

 

So satisfied?
